The federal government has given a little over $40,000 to the Salvation Army. MP Adam van Koeverden shares the details.

The Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation along with its sister charity Care4Cause dropped off donations at the Salvation Army Khi Community in Milton and Halton Women's Place on Wednesday, June 24.

Pet Valu in Milton has launched their food drive to raise food and money to help local pets local pets in need. For the month of June, Pet Valu is running Giving Back Month. Each time a customer purchases select cat and dog food, treats and flea and tick protection, $1 from the purchase of each qualifying product will be donated to the Upper Credit Humane Society and ANML-RESQ Network of Ontario. Customers are also invited to donate a can or bag of pet food when they check out. Pet food collected in-store will be donated to the Salvation Army Food Bank Khi Community in Milton to help their clients who have pets.
