Paramount Fine Foods is undergoing a program to help local kids in need with free meals.

Jeff Burnett is taking on a nearly 200km bike ride once again to raise awareness about ALS disease. His father, Frank, died on July 1, 2020. With the one year anniversary of his death looming, Burnett hopes to continue the conversation about this debilitating disease. Acton High School has introduced a brand new celebration to honour past students and their accomplishments. The inaugural Wall of Honour has three recipients this year. The Ontario government has announced it has approved the construction of two new campuses for Conestoga College and Wilfrid Laurier University and a new Schlegel Villages long-term care home. The schools will accommodate about 6,700 students. Schlegel Villages will include 192 new publicly subsided long-term care beds and a fully integrated village concept for the residents. Construction is expected to being in Spring 2022. The Milton Education Village is located neat the Mattamy National Cycling Centre just south of Derry Road, west of Tremaine Road and north of Britannia Road.

The Town of Halton Hills officially unveiled another rainbow crosswalk on June 15. Located just outside The Halton Hills Public Library Acton Branch this rainbow crosswalk is the second one in the municipality. The first one was installed outside the library in Georgetown in June 2020.
