Veronica Tyrrell was a tireless community member advocating for the black history in Oakville, the youth, midwifery, and the creation of the Canadian Caribbean Association of Halton. The Town of Oakville is posthumously honouring her by naming a park in north Oakville after her.

Statistics Canada released the Labour Force Survey for May. The survey looks at the labour impacts Covid-19 has had on Canadians. Two key findings show men saw greater employment increase than women. We speak with Burlington MP Karina Gould to get her take on these findings.

Beth Martin was proclaimed on of Burlington's Local Heroes during the COVID pandemic for her work bringing the community together and helping to ensure people have enough to eat.

Nicholas Rampertab received the 2020 TD Scholarship for Community Leadership for his work teaching students with developmental disabilities robotics. The students at his high school Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary would never have had this opportunity if Rampertab had not created the club.
