Participants will be introduced to a variety of movement and exercise activities to support physical health and well-being, in addition to opportunities for social connection, information sharing, and resources for caregivers.

CLOsure2025, the first all-women’s crew, will be paddling a dragon boat across Lake Ontario to raise funds for OFILD. 

We will start from Niagara-on-the-Lake & paddle to Toronto, approxmately 51.5 kilometres on June 20, 2025 

Given the well-documented housing crisis, please lend us a hand in supporting Options for Independent Living & Development. They provide housing and support services for adults with special needs. There are many worthy charities out there, but we feel that OFILD is a worthy charity and dear to us.

On Saturday from 3–8 PM, we’re also hosting a classic car show in collaboration with Storm the Falls! Harp’n Aboot will be making their debut at the Saturday June 28 Music at Nelles Manor performance. Harp’n Aboot is the duo of Doug Feaver and Ruth Sutherland. They will be playing some songs that are very old and traditional, and mixing those with new songs and pieces that they've written themselves. The music ranges from beautiful ballads to raucous hand-clappers. Hold on to your boots! 

Bring your own chairs, blankets and even a picnic. 

Tickets are $10 Adults, $5 Students, and Children 0 – 13 Free.

Background

Doug Feaver is a singer/songwriter/storyteller/performer from Grimsby Ontario who plays guitar, harmonica, boots, drums, banjo, bass, and sitar, and his roots are in rock, folk and bluegrass music. Ruth Sutherland is a professional singer/songwriter/harpist from Hamilton whose roots are in folk, Celtic, and classical music. She has a trained mezzo-soprano voice, and Doug doesn't! Together, they are two-thirds of the acclaimed Canadian Celtic trio Scantily Plaid, having performed in concerts and festivals across North America and Europe for over two decades ( www.scantilyplaid.com ). As a duo, Ruth and Doug are called "Harp'n aboot"  https://www.instagram.com/harpnaboot/  . They will be playing some songs that are very old and traditional, and mixing those with new songs and pieces that they've written themselves. The Bfit Centre is thrilled to launch the Fit to Care program - a 10-week movement and support program for caregivers 55+. 

Participants will be introduced to a variety of movement and exercise activities to support physical health and well-being, in addition to opportunities for social connection, information sharing, and resources for caregivers. 

Participation in this 10-week program is free!

The 2025 Gardener's Garden Tour organized by the Niagara-on-the-Lake Horticultural Society promises to be a captivating experience for garden enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. Scheduled for July 12, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., this self-guided tour will showcase a selection of unique gardens, each reflecting the vision, dedication and passions of their homeowners, all of whom are NOTL Horticultural Society Members. Visitors will have the opportunity to engage with homeowners who will share their gardening experiences and insights. This event not only showcases the beauty of local gardens but also supports horticultural scholarships for students at Niagara College Canada Horticultural Program. Join us for this inspiring journey through the gardens of Niagara-on-the-Lake!
