Community Care Of St. Catharines And Thorold

How We Respond

VISION: Our vision is for a healthy, caring community where everyone lives with dignity and purpose.
What began in 1919 as food and clothing assistance has grown to 19 programs

Visit our website for a list of all our programs available.

FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre

It opened in 2015 as the result of a partnership between the City of St. Catharines and Brock University, which share the venue for production, performance and learning purposes.

Fort Erie SPCA

The Fort Erie SPCA is a charitable, not-for-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of all animals and to promote humane treatment of all animals. Did you know you can remember a loved one, or promote your business, and support The Fort Erie SPCA? Sponsor the cage of a furry friend with a mounted plaque portraying your logo, or a personal message. Help the shelter care for the high volume of animals they see every year. You will also receive a charitable receipt and be acknowledged on the shelter’s Facebook page.

Garden City Productions

Since its inception in 1956 as The Operatic Society of Grantham United Church, to becoming Garden City Productions in 1963, it seems we have come full circle recently purchasing our new home that we lovingly call ‘The Kirk’, formerly St. Andrews Church in St. Catharines.

Entertaining audiences with musicals like The Pirates of Penzance, Oliver!, Oklahoma, The King and I, Jesus Christ Superstar, Sweet Charity, Gypsy, West Side Story, Cabaret, The Full Monty, White Christmas, Annie, Godspell, Fiddler on the Roof and the list goes on!

Without the support of the many volunteers and of course you, our audience, we would not have been able to accomplish this huge achievement.

Many of our members have continued on to professional careers as actors, singers, dancers, choreographers, stage managers, lighting designers and teachers.

We are so proud to be able to say, “We knew them when“.
