Powassan Voodoos Co-Owner Jim Bruce seized the opportunity to support local video journalist Britt Bortolon who is fighting breast cancer. Bruce was first diagnosed with cancer in 1984.

North Bay is Behind Britt Bortolon
It was an emotional night in North Bay City Hall Chambers as Britt's Bevy Team Captain Clarke Heipel thanked North Bay City Council for their ongoing support of local video journalist Britt Bortolon, who is currently fighting breast cancer.
Along with reflecting on the generosity of the community, Heipel announced the partnership with "Girls With a Cause" who will be hosting a fundraiser for Bortolon, with proceeds to assist her with her medical expenses. Details of this late 2019 fundraiser will soon be announced.
