While Walk a Mile in Her Shoes was not able to happen this year due to COVID-19, a local group didn't let that stop them from still raising funds for the local YWCA by strapping on some heels.

The ceremony was held on Oct. 24 at the Mark O'Meara Clubhouse. It was a night to celebrate some amazing local women.

The nomination deadline for the 2018 YWCA Women of Distinction Award is Sept. 14. We had Michelle Emson in studio on Sept. 10 to talk about what it meant to her to be last's year's recipient and the importance of nominating.
