A video of a lineup at LA Fitness in Milton on Thanksgiving Monday has been circulating on social media. It turns out, many of these people were coming from regions under a modified Stage 2 following a surge in Covid-19 cases. These regions include Peel and Toronto. A modified Stage 2 includes shutting down gyms, movie theatres and indoor dining at restaurants and bars. During his daily briefing on Oct. 15, we asked Premier Doug Ford if modified stages in hotspot regions are effective.
