Plane Crash In Greenville
GREENVILLE - Authorities have identified the victims of a deadly plane crash in Greenville. Three people died Monday after their plane went down while approaching the local airport.
The pilot has been identified as 58-year-old Joseph Robertson. His passengers were Anita Robertson, also 58, and Laura Robertson, 24. All of them were from Ontario, Canada.
The Robertsons were traveling in a twin-engine Piper Aerostar from Ontario to Prince Edward Island when the pilot alerted authorities that he was having problems maintaining his altitude.The plane was diverted to Greenville but it crashed short of the runway.
Investigators remained on the scene Tuesday, trying to find a cause of the deadly accident.
