Renfrew Town Council held a special Meeting of Council to go over the proposed plans for expansion of Ma-Te-Way Activity Centre and approve the plans to go on to tender.

If the residence have not seen yet, the new fire hall is bringing to take shape. construction of the framework has started and brian lewis with the city of Pembroke says even with the fluctuating temperatures crews are working through everything to complete the work on time.

Even though the ashes you’ve cleaned out of your wood stove may look like they’ve cooled off, there is a good chance there may still be some burning embers.  Hot ashes will melt green carts, set garbage collection trucks on fire and even cause significant property damage. 

Fire Destroyed the apartment building at 17 Elgin Street in Arnprior. The Fire Department was able save adjacent Buildings. The fire was caused by an unattended pot.

5th grade AJ Charbonneau student Alaina Botchar had the chance to be Mayor of Arnprior for the day. She traveled with the mayor to see town facilities and opened the recent meeting of council.

The Renfrew BIA is looking to use Lowes Square in Renfrew as a part of drawing interest to the downtown core over the summer during the downtown reconstruction period.
