Halton Virtual Walk for Down Syndrome
The Halton Down Syndrome Association is hosting the Halton Virtual Walk for Down Syndrome on Saturday, June 20. The Walk for Down Syndrome is one of their biggest fundraisers of the year. Local mom and entrepreneur pushing for nationwide prom
Margaret Wallis-Duffy is the person behind the Better Together as ONE movement that is committed to educating, empowering & inspiring all Canadians. As a mom herself, Wallis-Duffy says she was heartbroken that her daughter wouldn't be able to get the prom experience she wanted. This inspired Wallis-Duffy to work on creating the Better Together as ONE Canada-Wide Community Neighbourhood Prom. To read more about what Wallis-Duffy's vision, click here to read the full article.

The Director of the Canadian Caribbean Association of Halton comments on the differences between Canada and the US, the local Solidarity Marches in Oakville & Burlington, and responds to a chant heard at one of the marches "no justice, not peace, no racist police".
A march for future change
Taevanh Henry is one of hundreds of protesters who marched against racism in the streets of downtown Oakville on Saturday, June 13. He shares his story about what it was like growing up in a predominately white community and the hopes he has for the future.
